There are a variety of local organisations that offer support to people who've experienced abuse or violence.

Bristol Against Violence and Abuse
Bristol Against Violence and Abuse (BAVA) is a collection of people and organisations in Bristol working to end all types of violence and abuse against women and girls and domestic and sexual abuse against men. The website provides information about different types of abuse and information about support services.

Safe Link
Safe Link provides support for anyone (women, men and children) who has been the victim of rape and sexual abuse across the whole of Avon and Somerset area. Safe Link also provides women's mental health and domestic abuse support services.

Survive dv
Survive is an innovative local charity working towards freedom from domestic abuse for women and children in Bristol. They offer practical and emotional support, accommodation, information and education for women, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence and abuse.

The Green House
The Green House provides therapy for people affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence, supporting them to recover from their trauma and help improve their mental health, wellbeing and resilience through the provision of specialised professional counselling and therapy. The Green House was formerly known as Avon Sexual Abuse Centre.

Galop
If you've experienced hate crime, sexual violence or domestic abuse, Galop is here for you. They also support lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer people who have had problems with the police or have questions about the criminal justice system. Galop is a completely independent community-led group.

Mankind
Manking helps men escape from domestic abuse. They provide a range of services directly to men, such as an anonymous national helpline that any man, anywhere, can call.

NAPAC
The National for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) is the UK's leading national charity offering support to adult survivors of all types of childhood abuse, including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. 

Rights of Women
This website offers a collection of advice and information to support helping women through the law.

Women's Aid
Women's aid is a grassroots federation working together to provide life-saving services and build a future where domestic violence is not tolerated. This website provides information and support to those seeking help for themselves, others or those working with survivors. Women's Aid is a national organisation but has an office in Bristol.
